
On July 27, 1758 Daniel Newcomb received, by deed of gift from his father, 250 acres in Hebron, and in 1760 he bought 52 acres, including house and shop in the same town. He became bankrupt before March 16, 1763, but afterwards the debt was fully paid. Deeds at Springfield, Mass., show --10/615--
Daniel Newcomb of Hebron, and Henry Curtis of Coventry for £100 Quit Claim all right in Northampton, viz: the 1/3 part of the 1/4 part of all that parcel of land which did belong to Nathaniel Curtis and same did belong to Samuel Curtis.

There is no record of his decease or settlement of his estate. He served eight months, beginning April 24, 1777, under Capt. Sylvanus Brown of Stanford, invalid in Artillery, 8th Regt., Connecticut line.
